Family in Bethany, We’re looking for a few good men and women.  Christian soldiers are needed for a couple hours on the last Saturday morning of the month to help keep St. John’s in spit-spot shape so that our parish is always in a presentable condition for our fellow parishioners and our many visitors.  We march in the footsteps of Martha, Mary, and Lazarus whose home in Bethany was Jesus’ “home away from home”.  Our ministry meets at 9:30a.m. in the Parish Center.  We remind ourselves in Whose presence we’ll be toiling by starting there with a reading from the Scriptures and a set of mysteries from the Rosary.  If you’re looking for a way to get involved in your parish and if you can offer up the time, we invite you to snap to and join up with us at our next meeting on July 26th.  Contact Rhonda E. Green at 215-877-8540 for further information.

GoodSearch.com is a new search engine that donates half its revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. You use it just as you would any search engine, and it's powered by Yahoo!, so you get great results. Just go to www.goodsearch.com and be sure to enter St. John The Evangelist Philadelphia as the charity you want to supportJust 500 of us searching four times a day will raise about $7,300 in a year without anyone spending a dime! And, be sure to spread the word!
